Holyoke High School’s National Honor Society chapter hosted a benefit dodgeball tournament Saturday, Dec. 1, with funds designated for Wages firefighter Jennifer Struckmeyer, who was severely injured in the Heartstrong Fire in Yuma County last March.
Saturday’s tournament featured 17 teams who, from their attire to their antics, provided a great deal of entertainment.
Flavor Savers took first place in the tournament, while runner-up honors went to Saved by the Balls, and best dressed award was earned by Bad Apples. Flavor Savers and Bad Apples are pictured. Members of the runner-up Saved by the Balls team were Edgar Cruz, Fernando Lopez, Avi Turcios, Alex Yanez, Jesus Loya and Carlos Diaz.
