| JH girls play host to Burlington |

Holyoke’s junior high volleyball team hosted Burlington Thursday, Sept. 13 and won two of the three matches. The A team had a tough road in front of them when they fell 13-25 in the first set last Thursday. They bounced back to take the next two sets 25-18, 15-12. Coach Kelsey Reimink said the girls fought incredibly hard the whole game and really came together as a team. “The games had an amazing energy to them,” she added. The B team lost in three sets. They dropped the first one 13-25, bounced back for a 25-22 win but lost the third closely 13-15. The C team came away with a win in three sets. They won the first 15-2, fell 4-15 and won 15-5. The team is scheduled to travel to Wray Thursday, Sept. 20 for a triangular with Wray and Burlington which is set to begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, the B team will host an invite with Haxtun and Sedgwick County. Action will get underway at 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, the team will travel to Julesburg with games scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Holyoke Enterprise September 20, 2012 |
