|Saints’ Drescher holds mini camp|

Justin Drescher of the New Orleans Saints was in Holyoke last week visiting his grandmother Susanne Drescher for the 4th of July holiday—something that has sort of become a tradition. While in town, he took a couple hours of his time to hang out with some of Holyoke’s PeeWee football players.
Jessica Cumming helped organize the meeting with future Holyoke Dragons, Drescher and his brother Jay Jay. A big group turned out to meet Drescher, play some Dragon Ball and have questions answered. Ethan Andersen gets his photo taken with Drescher by mom Katie.
Drescher signed with the Saints in 2010 and serves as the team’s long snapper. He was the long snapper for the CU Buffaloes from 2006-09. He attended Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas. Justin’s father, Jay, grew up in Holyoke and played sports for the Dragons. —Enterprise photos
