Races go on despite rain PDF Print E-mail
Written by Chris Lee
Not many people were complaining Friday night, June 15 when the skies opened up and decided to drop some rain on the area. Modified drivers were just getting ready for their heat races at Phillips County Raceway when they were forced off the track to wait out the storm.

When the drops stopped falling, drivers were given the green flag to finish out racing action.

The featured cars last Friday were the Limited Late Models making their second appearance at PCR this season. Dave Garmon took first place in last Friday’s main event.

Two local drivers piloted their cars to checkered flag main event wins. Jacob Adler captured first in the sport mod race while Mike Woodhead took first in the hobby stock race.
