Holyoke Cooperative Association has been named the Environmental Respect Award winner for Colorado in 2002 for outstanding environmental stewardship among agricultural retailers across the nation.

With only 10 Peerless Pass memberships sold, the effort is being called a loss, and the Peerless Center will now have to remain closed to the public, and future GPRC programs will likely be eliminated.

Phillips County Oil Company has reportedly purchased a 100x130-foot site at the northeast corner of Holyoke’s main intersection and plans to put in a super service station.

Rev. H. Ward Barter has been appointed the new minister of the Holyoke Methodist Church.

A small twister caused considerable damage at three farms in the Wages area southwest of Holyoke late Saturday afternoon.
