    Three finalists for the Holyoke School District Re-1J Supt. of Schools position were named Friday, April 24, and will be interviewed Saturday, May 2.
    Board president Kendon Olofson announced the finalists include Bret Miles, current superintendent for the Brush School District; Patrick Cullen, superintendent in Oberlin, Kan.; and a proposal from current Holyoke principals Jennifer Kral and Susan Ortner to serve as co-superintendents.
    Candidates will all interview with the board of education, as well as two focus groups involving staff and community members. The focus groups will provide input from their interviews to the board, and the board will make the decision on the superintendent employment.
    Members of Focus Group One are teachers Chandra Parker and Roger Brady, transportation and facilities director Robert Jacobs and community members Jim Gribben, Tom Bennett, Rena Schneller, Cecilia Marquez, Mendi Lutze and Russ Sprague.
    Focus Group Two includes teachers Lynn Schneider and Pat Wiebers, district assessment coordinator Kimberlee Bennett and community members Steve Millage, Dennis Herman, Michelle Van Overbeke, John Ayoub, D.J. Shafer and Misti Redman.
