Dale Jacoby, who was critically injured in a March 27 vehicle accident a mile east and two miles south of Holyoke, returned to his Holyoke home Monday, April 23.
Jacoby spent eight days in intensive care at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley and then spent three weeks in long-term acute care at Kindred Hospital in Aurora.
He will now be in Hospice care in his home.
Jacoby’s step-daughter Heather Huffman said Monday Dale is conscious and awake, but doesn’t have an awareness of his surroundings.
She said they’re asking people to refrain from visiting this week as he gets adjusted to being home.
After this week, the family requests that people call in advance before stopping to see him, just to make sure he’s having a good day.
