Ogallala’s eighth annual Spring Fun Fest once again promises activities galore at the Keith County Fairgrounds at 1100 W. 3rd St. in Ogallala, Neb. from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 28.
Free fun for the kids from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. includes a petting zoo, fly casting, fly tying, archery, a Slushie machine, fish tank, paint ball booth, honey bee display, baby chick incubator and balloon lady entertainment.
A special addition to the silent auction this year includes a weekend for two at the 30th Anniversary Food and Wine Classic in Aspen June 15-17. Valued at $5,000, the package includes four nights lodging at a four-star hotel and event registration for more than 80 seminars, cooking demonstrations and wine tasting with world famous chefs and winemakers.
Other silent auction items include gift baskets, goose hunting trip, fishing trip, Husker tickets, haircuts, John Deere collection items, gift certificates, volleyball camp, Tiffany collector doll, down comforter and pillow, lilac bushes, miniature electric train and track, two $500 dental gift certificates, artwork, collector plates, limited edition Danny Woodhead plaque, fly fishing opportunity, handyman help, English high tea event and more.
Other activities include the ever popular Waffle Man and the singing waffle bear (serving until 11 a.m.), a gigantic garage sale, country store, bake sale, plant sale and cake walk.
