Former Holyoke couple David and Lori Gulley are gearing up for their annual Run for the Son which will take place Saturday, May 5.
The couple, who helps raise money for the Christian Motorcyclists Association, is looking for donations to help them raise funds for home missions, Jesus film, open doors and missionary ventures.
In 2011, $3,702,018.33 was raised nationwide during Run for the Son.
Lori said due to some health issues, she and David will drive a van carrying extra parts and those who don’t ride motorcycles during the upcoming ride in May.
Lori said they usually plan to ride about 100 miles for Run for the Son, but they sometimes go a bit further. This year they are planning to meet up with chapters from Greeley, Loveland and Fort Collins in Fort Morgan at 11 a.m. for a circle of prayer.
The Gulleys are members of Light of the Plains Sterling Chapter which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
