High Plains Heritage Quilters are in the planning stages for the 2012 Haxtun Corn Festival quilt show.
The group is currently seeking quilts for the show. Quilts that have been entered before in previous shows may be entered again.
Antique quilts, made before 1940, will be entered into the Nora Dinsmore category. The Ann Olson award is for scrappy quilts. These are quilts with 50 or more different fabrics.
Men, women, juniors, seniors and youth are encouraged to take their quilts to the 2012 Corn Festival quilt show.
Not all quilts have to be judged. It is also the owner/creator’s choice to have them judged or just there for display.
Quilts must be clean, smoke-free and pet hair-free to respect the other quilters and their quilts.
