Holyoke School District Re-1J has organized a meeting with District Attorney Bob Watson for all school districts in the 13th Judicial District.
Purpose of the meeting is for further discussion and clarification regarding the letter Watson sent to all schools in late February about mandatory reporting requirements for sexual misconduct allegations.
School superintendents, board members, district legal counsel, administrators and other appropriate district personnel were invited to the April 11 meeting in Sterling.
The meeting was targeted as an opportunity to ask specific questions and develop a better understanding of the expectation the District Attorney’s office has for school districts.
Close to 30 RSVP’d for the meeting and noted appreciation to Watson for taking time to give first-hand information about the best way to handle these very important situations.
