Marissa Smith is running well for CSU PDF Print E-mail

After finishing up her indoor track season, CSU sophomore Marissa Smith began her outdoor track and field season Saturday, March 17 at the University of Colorado in Boulder. She finished third overall in the 400 meter dash with a time of 0:58.62.

The CSU team traveled to the CSU-Pueblo Open Saturday, March 24 where Smith finished first in her heat and second overall in the 400 meter dash with a time of 0:58.56. Smith’s 4x400 relay team finished first overall with a time of 3:51.78 setting a new meet record. Smith ran the lead leg in a time of 0:56.72.

The CSU team hosted its quadrangular Saturday, March 31. Smith took fourth place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 0:58. Her 0:56.9 lead leg of the 4x400 relay helped the team to an overall first-place finish with a time of 3:51.2.

Smith is a sophomore at CSU majoring in health and exercise science with a concentration in health promotion, minoring in business administration. The 2010 HHS graduate is the daughter of David and Rhonda Smith of Holyoke.
