HHS senior Laura Gerk has been selected to participate in the Colorado Coaches of Girls’ Sports (CCGS) All-State Basketball Games Sunday, March 25 at Arvada West High School.

The 2A game will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will involve 16 2A seniors from throughout the state.

CCGS began sponsoring an All-State Basketball Game in 1978 to provide girls a showcase for talent. Each senior athlete is nominated by coaches in her league, while coaches representing all the leagues make the final selection of girls in the 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A divisions.

Players are chosen based on talent, dedication, team play and leadership.

They will meet for practice and an evening banquet Saturday, March 24.

Gerk is the daughter of Casey and Hollie Gerk.
