Nearly 300 PeeWee grapplers will invade Dragon territory Saturday, March 10 for the Holyoke Youth Wrestling Tournament at Holyoke High School.
Teams from the area will have wrestlers ages 4-15 competing. Holyoke has 39 wrestlers on its roster.
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. with wrestling action beginning at 9 a.m. Coaches need to have teams signed in by 8 a.m.
Homemade breakfast burritos will be sold at the concessions stand beginning at 7:30 a.m. A hamburger and hot dog meal will also be served. The concessions stand will be operated by the Holyoke Wrestling Club.
The annual tournament is a fund raiser for the Holyoke PeeWee wrestling program. Organizer Brooke Dirks said funds help send kids to camps, provide insurance for the wrestlers, pay coaches and allow for other expenses necessary to make the program a success.
