Six local students were inducted into Northeastern Junior College’s Zeta Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa in a Feb. 26 ceremony at NJC in Sterling.

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of two-year colleges.

Inductees included Brittany Durbin, Connie Ferguson, Kaylee Groshans, Sherilyn Knight, Tiffany Maelzer and Janna Smith.

Smith was one of two students identifed as Colorado All-Academic Team members. She was a recipient of a $500 Presidential Campus Scholarship.
