|32 youth teams expected for Imperial, Neb. tourney|

Basketball teams in grades 4-6 will converge on Imperial, Neb. Saturday, March 2 for the annual Imperial Youth Basketball Tournament.
Games will start in four gyms at 8 a.m. Sites include the Longhorn and Shorthorn gyms at the school on East 9th St., as well as the gym at the Wellington School at 10th and Wellington Streets. The Longhorn gym will be divided into two courts.
Other communities sending teams to the tournament include Wauneta-Palisade, Neb., Perkins County, Neb., Dundy County-Stratton, Neb., Paxton, Neb., Holyoke and St. Francis, Kan.
A total of 32 teams will compete in the tourney, according to coordinator Alex McNair, some of which will open with pool play. Other grade levels will have bracketed contests.
Those interested in tournament schedules can pick them up at McNair Agency in Imperial this week.
