Nearing the end of their basketball season, junior varsity girls finished a long home stretch with one win and two losses.


Holyoke JV 29, Dundy Co. 41

HHS faced Dundy County, Neb. Tuesday, Feb. 7, ending the game with a 29-41 loss.

Holyoke led 12-10 after the first quarter, but Dundy County pulled ahead for the 22-17 lead at halftime. The Dragons again outscored them in the third quarter, but Dundy County finished strong for the 12-point lead at the buzzer.

Zuri Lopez led Dragon scoring with 12 points followed by Megan Vieselmeyer with seven, Stefani Razo six and Jacinda Krueger and Tia Huffman two apiece.


Holyoke JV 37, Haxtun 29

Thursday, Feb. 9 resulted in a 37-29 win for Holyoke against Phillips County rival Haxtun.

The Lady Dragons outscored the Bulldogs in three of the four quarters, building up a nice lead for the eight-point win.

Top scorer was Audi Peña with 10 points followed by Razo with eight, Lopez and Krueger six apiece, Vieselmeyer four, Jentry Andersen two and Rosa Ochoa one.


Holyoke JV 18, Burlington 28

The Dragons lost to Burlington 18-28 at home Monday, Feb. 13.

Holyoke had a good first half, trailing by only one point at halftime. A slim second half for Holyoke allowed Burlington to take the win.

Vieselmeyer led the team with eight points. Peña, Razo, Lopez, Krueger and Jordan Bernard each added two points.
