|JV boys drop 2 games|

Holyoke’s boys’ JV basketball team had a tough week on the road as they fell in two consecutive games.
They traveled to Yuma, Tuesday, Jan. 17 and lost 39-51. Friday, Jan. 20 they traveled to Wiggins and lost a close 41-44 game.
Holyoke 39, Yuma 51
After a close first quarter, the Dragons pulled away in the second and held a 27-22 lead at the half at Yuma.
The Indians poured things on in the third to fight back and led by one point, 37-36, heading into the final period.
The Dragon offense shut down and only scored three points while Yuma put up 14 to secure the win.
Tito Fierro and Deyten Klein led the team with 10 points apiece. Ryan Parker had six, Zach Roll four and Harry Paulin, Logan Zeiler and Tanner Smith each had three.
Holyoke 41, Wray 44
Holyoke trailed by four, 12-16, after the opening quarter in Wiggins and never really caught back up.
The Dragons trailed by three at the half.
The third quarter proved to be low scoring on both ends as the Dragons scored six and Wiggins scored five to retain a 31-29 lead.
The Tigers outscored Holyoke by one point, 13-12 in the final period to hang onto the victory.
Fierro led with 19 points, Klein seven, Roll six, Parker four, Zeiler three and Paulin two.
