The 20th Noel, a Christmas Concert, will be presented by The Master Chorale under the direction of Don Johnson at 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11 at the Dorothy Corsberg Theater at NJC in Sterling.

The Master Chorale will be completing its 20th year, and for its Christmas program they will highlight Handel’s “The Messiah.”

The first half will open with “Lirum, Lirum.” The Chorale will continue with “Still, Still, Still,” “The Little Drummer Boy,” “Mary Had a Baby,” “Carol of the Bells” and “Jingle Bell Rock.” The first half closes with “Blue Christmas.”

For the second half, the Master Chorale will perform “The Messiah” which will include instrumentalists and special soloists.

Songs include “Overture,” “Sinfonia,” “Comfort Ye My People,” “Every Valley Shall Be Exalted,” “And The Glory of the Lord,” “He Shall Purify,” “Behold, a Virgin Shall Conceive,” “O Thou that Tellest Good Tidings,” “For Unto Us a Child is Born.”

“Pastoral Symphony,” “There Were Shepherds Abiding,” “And Lo! The Angel of the Lord,” “And the Angel Said Unto Them,” “And Suddenly There Was With the Angel,” “Glory to God,” “He Shall Feed his Flock,” “Behold the Lamb of God,” “Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs,” “Hallelujah” and more.

Tickets for the performance may be purchased at KC’s Music & Electronics, Key Bank, Master Chorale members, Larry at 522-1015, Rita at 522-5427 or at the door the day of the performance. Students under 12 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
