|Colorado voters reject Prop. 103|

Phillips County voters mirrored the statewide vote in rejecting Proposition 103 on the Nov. 1 ballot.
Proposition 103 would have raised $2.9 billion for Colorado’s education system. Statewide, the issue failed by approximately 64-36 percent.
Phillips County voters rejected Proposition 103 by a 71-29 percent vote margin.
Phillips County Clerk Beth Cumming said the count remains unofficial until the canvass/audit board canvasses the election results Monday, Nov. 14. No changes are anticipated, however.
Holyoke School District election results were reported in last week’s Enterprise.
A handful of ballots in the Re-1J school district from Yuma County and Sedgwick County residents were counted along with the Phillips County votes from this school district.
The combined vote total saw Linda Jelden, Dennis Herman, Michelle Van Overbeke and Jon King elected. Their vote totals were Jelden 802, Herman 617, Van Overbeke 607 and King 530. Also on the ballot were Andrea McCallum 371 and Jay Knutson 330.
