Spencer Heldenbrand graduated from Englewood, Fla. Fire Training Center Saturday, Dec. 4, with third overall class ranking recognition.

The ceremony for 28 graduating cadets was held at Lemon Bay High School Auditorium, and was followed by a reception. Keynote speakers were Englewood Fire Chief Brian Gorski and Assistant Chief Scott Lane.

Heldenbrand graduated cum laude in May of 2010 from Lemon Bay High School. Other achievements and credentials required for graduation from the Fire Training Center include the following:

Passed state written and practical exams for State of Florida Firefighter Certified, State of Florida and National Registry Certified Emergency Medical Technician through Edison State College EMS program in August 2010, Florida State Emergency Response Team Hazardous Materials Awareness and Hazardous Materials Operational, Firefighter 1 and 2 and Red Cross Medical First Responder.

Those attending Heldenbrand’s graduation ceremony were Michelle, Matt and Bodie Finley of Port Charlotte, Fla; Bob and Brenda Heldenbrand of Holyoke; and Gary Sporhase and Tanya Moyer of Englewood, Fla.
