The Board of Directors of the Republican River Water Conservation District will be holding a special meeting in Greeley Wednesday-Thursday Nov. 17-18. The meeting will be held at the Greeley Guest House from 1-5 p.m. Nov. 17 and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 18.
Items on the agenda include: Report from the District’s General Manager; updates on the CREP amendment and the supplemental environmental assessment by Tim Davis; AWEP plans for the 2011 fiscal year by Tim Davis; reports from the RRWCD’s lobbyists on legislative issues.
Report from State Engineer Dick Wolf and First Assistant Attorney General Peter Ampe on Colorado’s approach for achieving Compact compliance and seeking approval of the Compact Compliance Pipeline in light of the Arbitrator’s Final Decision.
Board member and staff training on dealing with conflict and controversial issues; and Board discussion and action items, including the consideration of a Washington, D.C. legislative trip for 2011, determining 2011 staff salaries and discussion of plans to hire a new General Manager.
Public comment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. Thursday.
The RRWCD Board of Directors will hold executive sessions to discuss agreements to acquire water rights for Compact compliance and remaining easements for the Compact Compliance Pipeline, determine positions and instruct negotiators, and receive legal advice on questions related to such agreements, the Compact Compliance Pipeline, Compact compliance and personnel issues.
