|MV Equipment expands service department|

More than doubling the size of the current service shop, a new 100x120 foot building has been built onto the south side of MV Equipment in Holyoke.
The new addition, which began to take shape in early August, is nearing completion and service crews are getting excited to move into their new home. If everything stays on schedule, that could be as soon as the first week of November.
When all is said and done, the current service shop will be used strictly for tractors while the new one will make working on combines an easier task.
The doors in the new addition are 36 feet in width instead of 24 feet like the current ones. This will make it way easier to fit the larger machines. A wash bay is also in the works on the south side of the new addition.
Planning for the new addition has been on the minds of staff and management for a long time. When Jerry McArthur and his wife Shelley became the sole owners of MV Equipment in January, talk had already begun about the addition in Holyoke.
Expansion and growth has become somewhat of a motto for MV in Holyoke and the addition is testament to that.
The biggest benefit of the addition will be the ability to work on combines. Thirteen—the number of combines new service manager Gary Hilgenbrinck said will be able to be housed in the new addition.
Hilgenbrinck began Sept. 13 at MV after moving from Albuquerque, N.M. with his family. He has nearly 29 years of service experience.
Director of Human Resources for MV Equipment Jessie Ruiz said people will soon begin to see more traffic and more green running through Holyoke. He also noted an open house is in the plans for sometime late November.
