|Four incumbent Phillips Co. officials announce intent to seek re-election|

Four Phillips County officials announced at the Jan. 31 Lincoln Day luncheon their intentions to seek re-election to their current posts.
Those making the announcements were Phillips County Assessor Doug Kamery, County Sheriff Rob Urbach, County Treasurer Linda Statz and County Commissioner District 1 Susan Roll Walters.
Statz has served for five terms and seeking a sixth, while Kamery, Urbach and Roll Walters are all seeking their third four-year term in office.
Other incumbent elected officials who spoke at the annual Republican gathering in Phillips County Sunday were Greg Brophy, Colorado Senator Dist. 1; and Jerry Sonnenberg, Colorado Representative Dist. 65.
Announced Republican candidates for other offices who spoke Sunday included Cory Gardner, seeking 4th Congressional Dist. House seat in Washington D.C.; Scott Gessler, for Secretary of State; and Sue Sharkey and Kelly Barlean for CU Regent from the 4th Congressional District.
Campaign bids were heard for Jane Norton for U.S. Senate; Scott McInnis for Governor; Diggs Brown and Tom Lucero, U.S. House of Representative, 4th Congressional District; and for J.J. Ament, Ali Hasan and Walker Stapleton for Colorado State Treasurer.
