|Sterling swimmers host Eaton in dual meet|

Sterling High School girls’ swim team hosted its first competition this season with Eaton Tuesday, Jan. 12. Eaton finished on top 95-87.
Holyoke swimmers earning individual places in Tuesday’s dual were Amy Krogmeier, third in 200 meter individual medley and fourth in 100 breaststroke; Jordan Zeiler, fourth in 50 freestyle and fourth in 100 freestyle; Nicole Brandt, fourth in 100 backstroke; and Pamela McWilliams, fourth in 200 freestyle.
In relay competition, Krogmeier and Zeiler competed on the second-place 200 freestyle relay; and Zeiler and McWilliams swam on the second-place 400 meter relay.
Results weren’t available from the dual in Scottsbluff, Neb. Jan. 14, and the Sterling team also hosted Windsor Tuesday, Jan. 19. Next up for the local swimmers competing with SHS is a Tuesday, Jan. 26 dual with Silver Creek at Centennial and a Thursday, Jan. 28 dual with Estes Park at 5 p.m. in Sterling.
