A magical Christmas display, complete with white and colored lights, snowmen and deer, can be seen at 805 S. Bowman. Jeff and Olga Sullivan, first place winners of this year’s lighting contest, created this classy display that can be best described as a winter wonderland. December snowfall enhances the effect of the vibrant holiday scene.
Sponsored by the City of Holyoke, Holyoke Chamber of Commerce and The Holyoke Enterprise, the annual contest is a chance for community members to show off their creative displays and view the dazzling lights scattered around town. A new contest format this year eliminated entry forms and made any lighting display in Holyoke or within a 1/2-mile radius eligible for first, second or third place honors.
Fred and Ardie Besse took second place with their lighting display, and third place went to James and Margaret Scholl.
Take time during the holidays to drive around town and see many more beautiful and stunning lighting displays.
