|Girls C team wins at Imperial, loses to Brush|

Traveling to Imperial Monday, Dec. 7, girls C team basketball found their first victory of the year, winning 31-28 over the Longhorns. The athletes suffered a tough 24-35 loss to Brush on their home court Friday, Dec. 11.
Holyoke C 31, Imperial 28
Outscoring the Longhorns in both the first and second quarters, Holyoke established a five-point lead at halftime. Imperial challenged the lead in the second half, and although they outscored the Dragons by two points, it was not enough for the win.
Erin Vieselmeyer led in Dragon scoring with 13 points followed by Chandler Gerk and Marissa Chambers with five apiece, Becca Brandt three, Becca Weaver and Makaila Stapleton two apiece and Elissa Baker one.
Holyoke C 24, Brush 35
Behind by 14 at the end of the first quarter, the Dragons had a big second period, outscoring Brush 12-2 and lessening the gap to four points at halftime. The Beetdiggers played a strong second half to secure the 35-24 win over Holyoke.
Leading Holyoke scoring was Vieselmeyer with seven points followed by Baker, Chambers and Jordan Bernard with four apiece; Becca Brandt three; and Brooke Parker and Stapleton one apiece.
