Written by Holyoke Enterprise

“Relentless” is a free youth conference coming to Imperial, Neb. Saturday-Sunday, Nov. 21-22.

Coordinated by three Imperial churches and youth groups, the conference will feature Sean Dunn from Groundwire as speaker and music by the Resistance band from Scottsbluff.

The weekend kicks off at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, with worship featuring Resistance at Christian Faith Outreach (CFO), followed by speaker Sean Dunn. That will be followed by a dessert bar and fellowship time.

On Sunday, Nov. 22, there will be a service at 10:30 a.m. at CFO. From 1:30 to 4 p.m., youths will gather for an afternoon of fun at the old hotel at 5th and Broadway Streets.

At 7 p.m. Sunday, the group will return to CFO for an evening service, followed by ice cream and fellowship.

All sessions are open to the public, but are designed for junior high and high school students, according to organizers.

Dunn lives in Castle Rock with his wife, Mary, and four children. He has spoken all over the world, and reaches thousands through Groundwire radio spots on more than 1,300 radio stations.

Dunn’s passion is to connect a generation of young people who are desperate for a relationship with God.

According to JR Kline, pastor at CFO, theme scripture for the weekend will be 1 Corinthians 15:58: “Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

Other churches involved in the weekend of events include Imperial Bible Church and Crossroads Wesleyan Church.

Youths interested may RSVP and find more information on the Relentless Facebook page or at groundwire.net.

Questions can be directed to Pastor Kline at 308-883-4029, Pastor Jared Rentschler, 308-414-1790, or Pastor Randy Harmon, 308-883-0273.
