|Golfers take 4th in 2 tournaments|

The Holyoke boys’ golf team grabbed a pair of fourth place finishes last week as they traveled to Brush and Burlington.
Eight golfers traveled to Brush on Aug. 13 to represent the Dragons for the first tournament of the season. Out of the 11-team field, Holyoke took fourth and eighth place.
Kyle Pierce led the way with an 82 while Brian DeBoer and Chris Bieber shot 89 and 90 respectively. The trio’s score of 261 was good enough for fourth place. Deyten Klein finished with a 108.
The other Holyoke team shot a 268 which was good enough for eighth place. Keaton Arkulari and Geoffrey Mattson both carded 89’s while Coleton Spitz and Duncan Brandt followed with a 90 and 93.
In Burlington the Dragons were led by Arkulari who carded a 75 which was good enough for a tie for third place.
Pierce and Mattson shot 82 and 86 respectively to round out the team score of 243 for fourth place. Brian DeBoer carded an 88 for Holyoke.
Eight golfers participated in the Ballyneal High School Invitational on Tuesday, Aug. 18. The team will travel to Yuma on Aug. 24 and Jefferson Academy on Aug. 27. More results will appear in the Aug. 27 issue of the Enterprise.
